Weblog Software Upgraded

I've upgraded the weblog software on the site to SubText.  All the feeds should stay the same.  Most of the blogs will look nicer once the posters choose a new skin.  We should also see less spam on the site.  Please let me know if you find anything broken.

# Article Sort Order Messed up

It appears that the Post Date Sort Order is not Correct...for example, the "top of stack" post is from January 2005.

Also, I don't see a link bback to either SQLTeam or the WebLog Home page.

Plus I don't see the spam protection in posting comments.

Am I missing soomething?

# It appears that I'm getting more spam

But I do like the mass delete of comments feature

I'm not seeing the problem with the sort order. Can you post or email me a link where you see it?

The links to and the main weblogs page are part of the customizations that I haven't made yet as per the email I sent.

The CAPTCHA spam blocker was removed and replaced with ReverseDOS. I don't know how successfull this will be yet.

I should also add if you're still getting spam comments in your blog email me a few of them. ReverseDOS will need a little tuning.

# Go to my Blog Home Page

And you ill see the Jan. 2005 article about sp_executesql...

If you look at the Weblog home page and scroll down, you'll see my last post in correct date order...but not on my blog home page

I also noticed that there is no Comment Count on either my home page or the SQLTeam Weblog home

And "Remember Me" still doesn't work.

It appears your individual blog is using the DateUpdated rather than the DateAdded column when it displays on your personal blog. I'm going to file a bug about that as I don't think it should do that.

The comment count on the home page is part of the customizations to the home page that I haven't made yet. The comment count on your personal page is the skin choosing not to display them. If you choose a different skin you should see the comments.

I'll look into "Remember Me". It's working fine for me right now. You're referring to the Remember Me where you login to edit your blog and not the Remember Me here on the comment page?

# No Accesss to the Archive

OK, Now this is more serious.

I can't get to all my past posts. I see a new option called export and I'll need to see if it is what I think it is, but, I really need this stuff.

Here Bill, there is new spam today at the bottom of this post

9/20/2006 9:00 AM | Brett

# Show entire archive

Bill, it would be really helpful if that feature was fixed. We can't get to all out old posts. Or at least I don't see a link to display them. I can see them when I go into Admin mode. Let me see if IO cann google old threads.

I disabled comments on syscomments. The spam has just been...overwhelming.

If there's any way to mass delete the spam in numbers more than 8 at a time, turn that on :)
