Garbage

The 5 stages of grief…err..logical to physical business model implementation.

1) Denial

Only other developers have this problem and I will be able to implement this business model into the database.  After all, it has been over 35 years since “the paper“ and I am sure there is someone out there who does a decent job of it..

2) Anger

You have got to be kidding me.  None of them can support it natively...... Between the 3 of you, you own half the f&^ing planet! Damn you all to hell!

3) Bargaining

All I ask is that you try.  Please!  I'll buy subscriptions, join beta programs, help in any way I can...

4) Depression

They don't care, nobody does..  I could have almost guaranteed the client data integrity, but bugger it.. I'll make them sign some legalese instead....Lawyers are good sometimes... .... Did I say that?  It doesn't matter....

5) Acceptance.

OK, I understand.  It's hard... Really hard..  Possibly the hardest job in IT next to giving birth to HAL.   I can get most of the model implemented and for that I thank you.  I'll have to work really hard to get the rest of the rules in, perform extra testing, validation and maintenance but not to worry, at least we are not using the hierarchy model XML.

Now THAT is funny. Or is it prophetic? Or brilliant? But I want royalties, because I know that I, on my last assignment, had to be the inspiriation for that.

Thanks for sharing it!
