Extending Integration Services Capabilities with Premier 3rd Party Products
I have evaluated and/or deployed various SSIS 3rd party components over the years. Two of the best 3rd party SSIS companies I have come across are: Attunity & ETI.
Attunity (www.attunity.com) extends SSIS’s ‘reach’ by providing connectors for the following systems:
- Adabas (mainframe and open systems)
- DB2 (on the mainframe)
- DB2/400 (iSeries)
- nscribe (HP NonStop)
- IMS/DB (mainframe)
- VSAM (mainframe)
- SQL/MP (HP NonStop)
Additionally, Attunity ships a SSIS Change Data Capture (CDC) Accelerator that generates packages and configurations via configuration wizards that can be used to easily implement CDC on the SSIS 2005 platform.
ETI (www.eti.com) provides Pre-Built High Performance Connectors (HPC) that provide data landing (load) capabilities up to 56 times faster than standard connectors. There are also optional Data Quality components that can be leveraged in conjunction with the HPCs. Finally, ETI also provides Built-To-Order (BTO) data connectors for your exact environment!
If you are looking to extend Integration Services built-in connectors, get a quick performance boost, or wish to add CDC capabilities to SSIS 2005 I highly encourage you to visit these vendors.
