MS Access

Yep ... MS Access. It's great. When used correctly, it is one of the handiest things you can use to complement your SQL development.
What I learned about SQL from using Access

Microsoft Access / JET SQL doesn't support cursors; the only way to process rows one by one is using VBA and opening a Recordset. This means that you're stuck using set-based "queries". Convert Microsoft Access (JET SQL) to SQL Server (T-SQL) Cheatsheet
