PASS Summit 2003 - Day 0 - Other Stuff

Oh, here's a couple of other things...  First, I'm not going to either of the "pre-conference" seminars (which cost extra).  So I don't expect to have anything for Days 1 and 2.  Although, both of them tomorrow are all about Yukon which is very tempting, but just isn't in the budget either time or money wise.  But there are hands-on labs for Yukon that I plan to get into this week, and of course I expect each morning's general session to be all about Yukon.

Found out that next year the PASS Community Summit will be at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, Florida from September 28 to October 1.  Hmmm... I guess now we'll find out how much I really value this conference.  I've had it easy last year and this year with it being right here in my home town.  But next year I'll have to travel to go to it.  Will probably still go.  It's a great conference, and Orlando is a great place to get away for a while.  And I've heard fabulous things about the Gaylord Palms Resort.

Actually, I'm thinking about being a speaker next year.  I'll be really curious to talk to Graz about his experience this year.  I gave a little thought to doing it this year but just didn't get around to it.

Another nice thing here at the conference is the Bookstore, where you can buy all sorts of SQL books, including those by Ken Henderson that Rob likes to promote so much.  Of course I like his books too and will be attending at least one, and maybe two of his presentations at the conference.

Oh, one other possible freebie... if you fit into your schedule to go to one of the Microsoft Office 2003 special sessions, you'll get a coupon for a free copy of Office 2003 Professional.  Might just have to squeeze that in...
