What a rambling bunch of idiots...

I still would like to know (wheteher or not SQL intinsically fits well with the relational model) what good/advatnages XML has over SQL.

What is it they say...it may not be perfect, but it's the best game in town?

Or was that about the american legal system?

I generally agree with Pascal. He's certainly right that a lot of DBA's and other professional in the industry lack some serious knowledge about data fundamentals.
As a mathematically educated person I really see the value of a sound theory as the foundation of a DBMS (i.e. relational theory) instead of the ad hoc approach of XML.

And of course: SQL sucks really, really hard
